Stereotype
I walked up to the bus stop this morning and one of the guys already at the stop asked me what year I graduated from UC Davis. Turns out he only graduated a year before me. I mentioned how we were probably in a few of the same classes since he was a Computer Science major. He was completely shocked (a little too shocked?) when I said that I was a Computer Engineering major.
Do I not look smart enough to be a computer geek or engineer (forget the kimmy'isms
)? Or is it because I'm a girl? Hmmm.....

It's probably because you're a girl and you don't look like a geeky girl. I've had similar experiences and I'm sure it's because of the stereotype that girls don't know a lot about computers and technology.
It's good to be a computer geek, but without look be a computer geek. :)
It certainly is because you're a cute girl :^) and people usually think cute girls are not interested about computers... :^)
