Aggression

I feel the need to let out some aggression. Bertrand says it's the pirate outfit and that the attitude comes with it.

Now where are those shooting nerf arrows...

Shiver me timbers!

Pirate couple

Happy Halloween!

A whole new woman

I've gotten most of my IDs and accounts updated with my new name. Yesterday, the lady at the DMV said, "You're a whole new woman!"

I realized that...I am a whole new woman.

Right now, I am sitting here watching college football with my husband, and am also screaming at the t.v. Of course, every couple of seconds, I say, "what does that mean?"

What's next? Monday night football?

Update: WoW! That was awesome! Go UCLA! (Not that I'm biased or anything)

Stiff

I got the best surprise yesterday.

Tony Pierce sent me a signed copy of Stiff!

How cool is that?

Want one too?

Red shoes!

Red shoes!I have been dying for red shoes for the past couple of years. Tine and I both shared in this want together and always pointed out red shoes online or while shopping.

Today, someone came skipping over to my desk and stomped her foot to show me her new shoes. I stomped right back and we squeeled together.

*sigh*

Girlfriends are great (so are red shoes).

I ain't no Hollaback Girl

B A N A N A S!

We'll be going bananas tonight at Gwen's concert. And even better? Another group I love is opening.

Ah! I'm so excited!

World Travellers

IMG_7134I got a message last night from one of my childhood friends.

I was in Rome last week and ran into one of your friends...I think his name was Lance. He said you just got married and I said, "I know!"

Wow! Since when did my friends just randomly meet halfway across the world?

Traitor

I am changing my last name. My dad called me a traitor.

My cousin calls me an opportunist.

Being a newlywed

Is interesting.

I can't quite find another word that fits quite as well. Being married really is quite an experience. There are always life changing experiences and events, but it is pretty incredible sharing that with someone else and knowing that you will be sharing the same experiences for the rest of your life. I remember a few months back during lunch, a couple of us non-married people were asking the married ones...what changes? If you have decided to marry that person, shouldn't you already know all of that? They always said, "It feels different." I never understood, and now I do. And now I am the one who just says, "It feels different" and can't explain it any better than that.

There are times now, when I will turn and look at my new husband and wonder, "Who are you???" Kind of funny how you can be with someone for years and realize that there is still so much to learn.

We're home!!!

And boy does it feel GOOD!

I love you comfy bed of mine. I love you shower I can stand up in. I love you filtered water that doesn't cost me an arm and a leg. I love you clean smelling clothes. Home!

We've been up for about 30 hours straight now, but after leaving immediately after our wedding, we missed all of the aftermaths of it. As a result, there are stacks of cards to peruse, presents to open, videos to watch, pictures to see and...I need to move into my new home!

I don't think I'll be able to sleep.

We are such foreigners

FondueWe went to a fondue house tonight for dinner. The following is the conversation between us and the server.

Server: or..you could dip some gherkins in the cheese
Me & B: some what?
Server: gherkins
Me & B: *confused* What are gherkins?
Server: You've never had gherkins? That's interesting. They are little green pickled things...
Me & B: don't think so...
Server: *comes back from grabbing some* these things, they're like small cucumbers
Bertrand: uhm...
Me: Oh...I think we call those pickles.

Later on...

Me & B: *point at menu* Could we have some lemonade please?
Server: Sure! *returns with carafe of clear liquid*
Me & B: *each take a sip*
B: Hmmm...that's interesting lemonade. I like it. Kind of tastes like...
Me: It's Sprite

It is snowing in Switzerland and we are freezing our little behinds off. Also, even though it has been three weeks, I was still caught off guard today when someone told me they had spoken to my husband. My who?!
