Gas prices make me sad

I filled up my car with gas today for the first time in a few weeks and faced incredible sticker shock. Almost $100?!? Mammas!

It is still half-priced comparing to the price in France. Enjoy it while you can.

Yeah, thats cheap in EU it is much more expensive. You may consider bying a more efficient car saves you money and environment, with same/similar car performance, if you buy european or asian car.

@1, Having grown up in London and having lived in Dublin, I will say you're right -- filling up in Europe is considerably more expensive -- but, being here in America now, I have to fill up every other day on average.

We have a Prius and it is AWESOME!

Just this past weekend we drove it to San Diego from the Bay Area, drove around Beverly Hills, then drove around town in San Diego...all on one tank of gas! We didn't fill up till the following day.

That day, we got about 50mpg.

My gas guzzler on the other hand...does not get that great of gas mileage but is great for the mountains. :)

That IS sad! I have curtailed a lot of my activities due to the high gas prices -- we didn't go away this holiday weekend because of it -- but I have to admit I had a great time at home. I took in a festival, a parade, saw some fireworks and had a cookout. I'm actually not sure that I would have had so much fun if I traveled! If nothing else, the high gas prices have made me spend more time around town and realize what an interesting area I live. Guess it goes to show that there is something good for just about every bad thing! :-)

so sad isnt it?!

The gas prices are raising more and more every month!

Eventually, they'll have to bring the prices down.. I hope..

Pushing $4 for the national average...

Oh, and I hate hearing people in other countries complaining about us complaining amongst ourselves. Most of America relies solely on a private vehicle for transportation, it's just the way it is, not to mention our minimum wage right now is only a dollar and a half above what a gallon of gas costs. I got paid $11 an hour for taking pizza orders in Australia, and my roomie $16 for customer service in a bookstore...you're lucky to make $6.50 or $7 for that same work here.

I live in Indonesia, and although I think I'm not old enough to care, but the gas price in Indonesia has tripled in the last 2 years.. Isn't that crazy? and its totally impossible to take the public transport here.. Aw I wish I live somewhere else.. >.<

These prices are horrible. Do you think the price increases are really necessary? I feel like we're getting ripped off here while some are making huge profits. It's not right.
