Overload

On Sunday, to celebrate my dad's birthday, we went to an all-you-can eat Chinese Seafood Buffet. I have never eaten as much as I did that night. I literally couldn't even think at the end of the meal. I resolved that night, that from now on, I am going to don the 'all-you-can' eat clothing attire the next time I go to a buffet. I woke up the next morning...still full from the night before. Since my brother is home for spring break, we decided we would spoil him with his favorite thing...food. On Monday, we all jumped into the car and headed to Armadillo Willy's for all-you-can-eat ribs. This time, I was much smarter and put on my sweatpants-a-la-elastic-waistband. Everyone laughed at my eating outfit but at the end of the night, guess who had the last laugh?

Here it is...two days after our eating spree...and I think I still might be full.

Why nobody else in the class found this funny...I'm not sure.

Clocky

This was made just for me!
"Clocky is a clock for people who have trouble getting out of bed. When the snooze bar is pressed, Clocky rolls off the table and finds a hiding spot, a new one every day. "

Toddler

Kids are cute. A conversation with a pouting three year old.

Me: Anna, you're such a baby
Anna: *pouting* No I'm not!
Me: You're not? Are you a big girl?
Anna: *still pouting* No...
Me: *confused* What are you then?
Anna: I'm a toddler!

Sunny Day

I love Spring!

The hills are green, the sky is blue, the flip-flops and sunglasses are out. Today is a take the top down on the convertible, turn up the music type of day.

I have absolutely no plans this weekend and am loving it. Scratch that...I plan on soaking up the sun and enjoying this beautiful weather as much as I can.

Rusty

When I left Davis two years ago, I left my bicycle there and handed it off to another person I worked with. It was an old bike my uncle had bought at a garage sale...perfect for a poor college student to get around campus with. I had completely forgotten about this old rusty bike until I got a postcard today from the Davis Police Department with a notice that my bike has been impounded...two years later! The condition stated on the postcard is: Fair - Flat tire. I thought I got rid of this darn thing two years ago...now I will sign the dotted line so it can be sold in a public auction.

Hypocrite

As far back as I can remember, I have always associated the news radio station with my dad and grandpa. I always knew which car my dad had been driving last because the familiar jingle of the news radio station was playing the latest weather and traffic together or financial updates. My brother and I used to tell my dad that his radio station was old or boring and would complain every time we got in the car. When I heard Bertrand playing the same station in his car, I teased him for being old and boring too. I also used to make fun of my dad and Bertrand for wearing t-shirts with tech company names on them. It seemed like such a geeky thing to do.

Now, when I hop in the car in the morning the radio station playing in my car is the news radio station so I can get my quick update on traffic and on the world news. I wear 'Google' clothes at least once a week and have enough t-shirts to wear for a few weeks straight.

I must be an old and boring geek.

Not matching!

Kimmy & NicoleEvery day is an adventure...you just have to open your eyes to see that even the smallest things can be exciting. What a full and fun-filled weekend! The weather was absolutely gorgeous. The sun was out, it was warm, and there was not a cloud in the sky. I got to spend some quality time with people I am closest to and took full advantage of the beautiful weather.

After a morning workout, Nicole and I ran a bunch of errands and then sat outside in the warm sun enjoying a cup of coffee together. After hanging out at the bookstore reading and browsing the books and magazines, we headed downtown to soak up the sun some more with our friend Sarah. Later that night, we went out to Crogan's for some good times and good laughs. Today, Bertrand helped me with some spring cleaning around the house and I got to catch up with another old friend.

Notable Quotes from the weekend:
"He's a normal person Kimmy, he just likes to do math."
"What's with all the friends that try to holla?"
"I feel tall."
"NOT MATCHING!!!" with hands clashing together
